field_validation_below gfield_visibility_visible\"  ><h2>Rules and Regulations<\/h2>\n<p>Although we want the campers to have fun, the rules and regulations are for the health and safety of all campers:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n\t<li>Personal Items<\/li>\n<ul>\n  <li>Staff will check all luggage, bedding, and personal belongings upon arrival. Unauthorized substances include:\n    <ul>\n      <li>Tobacco products<\/li>\n      <li>Alcohol<\/li>\n      <li>Illegal drugs<\/li>\n      <li>Fireworks or other explosives<\/li>\n      <li>Weapons of any kind<\/li>\n      <li>Razor blades\n        <ul>\n          <li>Blades intended for shaving must be kept with a designated staff person.      <\/li>\n        <\/ul>\n      <\/li>\n      <\/ul>\n  <\/li>\n  <li>All medications\/prescribed drugs must be kept in a secure location under the control of the Camp Nurse.<\/li>\n  <li>Electronics\n    <ul>\n      <li>Bringing electronic devices such as tablets and laptops is not required but is encouraged for use in language class. All other devices including smart phones, cell phones, handheld video games, etc. are prohibited and will be confiscated during inspection.<\/li>\n      <li>Digital and disposable cameras are allowed but the Sons of Norway District Six Language\/Heritage Camp is not responsible for the potential loss or damage of these devices.<\/li>\n    <\/ul>\n  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li>Facilities<\/li>\n\t<ul>\n    \t<li>Campers will be assigned sleeping facilities and restrooms. They will move their belongings to sleeping area with the help of counselors.<\/li>\n\t\t<li>Campers are not allowed to enter sleeping areas where they are not assigned.<\/li>\n\t\t<li>Campers are not allowed to enter bathrooms where they are not assigned.<\/li>\n\t\t<li>Campers are not allowed to misuse or deface camp property. (This includes toilet paper, food, signs, doors, windows, screens, tents, etc.)<\/li>\n        <\/ul>\n<li>Behavior<\/li>\n\t<ul>\n    \t<li>All campers will be respectful of adults by listening to staff and following directions.<\/li>\n\t\t<li>Absolutely no hitting, fighting, hazing, verbal abuse or bullying allowed. <\/li>\n\t\t<li>Conflicts between campers will be resolved by adult staff.<\/li>\n\t\t<li>Profane or obscene language are strictly forbidden (what is or is not permitted at home is irrelevant).<\/li>\n\t\t<li>Campers are not allowed to smoke, chew tobacco, vape, drink alcohol, take medications that are not prescribed to them, or do other illegal substances.<\/li>\n\t\t<li>There will be absolutely no hazing or initiation type activities allowed by campers or staff.<\/li>\n     <\/ul>\n<li>Activities<\/li>\n\t<ul>\n    \t<li>Hiking in groups with staff only.<\/li>\n\t\t<li>No climbing trees or jumping off steps and porches<\/li>\n\t\t<li>Swimming under supervision of a lifeguard only.<\/li>\n\t\t<li>No leaving boundaries of camp unless with adult staff.<\/li>\n\t\t<li>Campers are required to take two (2) showers per week minimum<\/li>\n\t\t<li><strong>Campers must wear closed toe shoes<\/strong> and clothing suitable for camp activities and surroundings (no sandals).<\/li>\n     <\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Campers must agree to abide by the rules and regulations set by the camp for the health, safety, and welfare of all campers. Willful destruction of property will be the financial responsibility of the camper\u2019s parents. The Sons of Norway District Six Language & Heritage Camp is not responsible for clothing or personal belongings lost or damaged.<\/p>\n<p>If there is a continuing problem with a camper, the Director will contact the parents to discuss the problem. Campers who continually violate rules or who refuse to conform to camp standards will be sent home to parents at their expense. <strong>No camp fees will be refunded for campers removed from camp because of behavior or continued safety risks.<\/strong> Parents\/Guardians will be billed for any damages occurring at Camp Norge that are the direct responsibility of their child.<\/p>\n<p>We have read the above rules and regulations child understands the above rules and regulations.
