Email List Moderator
District Six maintains a set of email distribution lists to facilitate communications within the District. We do a little extra work to keep spam (unwanted emails) out of our distribution. Some of our lists are private. That is, only members of the list are allowed to send to the list. But some we want to be public, such as the list of lodge editors. To keep spam out of our public lists, they are moderated. The Moderator is a person who looks at the email message to see if it is appropriate then either Approves or Denies the message.
If you are a person who checks their email at least once a day, and have a few minutes to check an occasional email, apply a little judgment, then click the Approve or Deny button, we could use your help. Up until now, all the moderation has been done by one person, the District Six Webmaster. But during the coming year, the District Six Board is going to be promoting all types of communicators and we hope that this will increase the use of our distribution lists. If you are willing to moderate one or more of our distribution lists, please fill out the form below. A sample flow of the moderation process can be seen here.
